You will get held up at the first one, but they will be easily gunned down. Drive on to the objective, but be careful going along the road as the Mercs have many ambushes set up.

You will get a new objective to get to the steam generator there will be a convenient vehicle nearby. Clear out the Mercs in the rest of the base to proceed and grab the cryvision goggles. On that same cliff is an emplacement so be careful to shoot him from safety.
Shoot them along with the technician trying to sneak across the left cliff. Proceed on foot, checking your flank and then use the binoculars to spot a bunch of Mercs streaming out of a hut.

We will aim at not dying for this mission so when the mission starts just proceed forward, grabbing supplies, armor and medkits as necessary. A helicopter gunner will show up as you take out the Merc groups, so duck and run until you find a cover spot to shoot the gunner from. Make sure to keep an eye out for soldiers approaching from the rear. Now a large gun battle will ensue, so take out the grenade launcher guy outside and use that to wreak some havoc. Take out the gunner in the second one and then focus back on the surviving troops. Next up, a helicopter and some troops will show up so use the HMG and mow them down. The next boat will drop some troops that will one-shot you with a rocket if you don't duck, and run immediately, even on easy. Take the rocket launcher near the bunker entrance and use it to take out the boat. Grab the ammo once done and trigger communication with Doyle to begin achievement time (the checkpoint will reset you to before the VTOL fight). One or two of them may survive and will move in on you if not, then hunt them down. Aim at the tail section to take down the fast roping Mercs. There will be a VTOL transport dropping troops most times you won't shoot it down, so don't sweat it. There is at least one patrolling and the main beachhead has some unsuspecting Mercs to shoot with it.Įventually you will enter a large gun battle on the roof of a Japanese WWII bunker use the HMG after fighting your way to the top. Also, use an enemy boat to score some kills for an achievement later on. Just remember to check guard towers and the armory for a sniper rifle for later in the game. The next part will entail shooting up a beach-head and some old ruins ignore the other beach area as there's nothing much there. Dive into the water and then jump into the dinghy. Shoot the dinghy's wires while ignoring the helicopter to create an escape plan. Then dash across the temporary bridge and kill more Mercs. The second time will lead to a large gun battle where you can get gunned down rather quickly just fight the ones you can see. Note the two enemies above, as well as enemies above and behind. Use binoculars and auto-aim to take care of him. You will have a chance to get topside two times: the first time there is a HMG emplacement at the stern of the hulk.
